If you're looking for a cool coffee shop to hang out in Austin this summer then Cosmic Coffee might not be what you're looking for because it is hot! Don't get us wrong, Cosmic Coffee is worth the visit, but stick to early morning or later in the evenings if you plan to spend any time enjoying the grounds. 


When it's hot in Austin, it's hot at Cosmic Coffee. They'e done a lot to keep the outdoor beer garden friendly and comfortable -- awnings, shade trees, fans, and misters -- but a table inside might be the way to go when Austin, TX reaches 90+ degrees.

Despite the heat, even Harvey enjoyed his visit! There were tennis balls and a watering station equipped with bowls and ice cold water supplied and stocked by Cosmic Coffee for any playful pooches out socializing. Psst... and well-mannered pups are allowed inside, too.

Nik enjoyed the Cosmic Lemonade and I selected the Frozen Boozy Coffee after chatting with a repeat customer at the bar. Both were delicious and refreshing, though the lemonade is quite a bit easier on the wallet!

Pro-tip: don't skip the food trucks! The fish tacos from Pueblo Viejo are soooo good! If you're not feeling their authentic Mexican tacos, the other food trucks are bbq from LeRoy and Lewis and chicken wings at Tommy Want Wingy (please tell me someone got that movie reference!!!!).
