Bar Peached: TGFA Summer Bucket List ✓

by - January 21, 2020

Bar Peached has been one of my favorite restaurants in Austin so far! Partially because I LOVE Korean food, but also because the outside area is very cute and photo-friendly, the waiters were incredibly helpful with which foods to pick, and everything was soooooo delicious.

Bar Peached was a little pricey, but in my opinion, it was 100% worth it. They specialize in Asian-inspired comfort food and are located downtown on W 6th street. Our waiter recommended that we order different dishes and have everything family-style so we could all share and try everything. Everything from the appetizers to the main courses to the desserts and the drinks was wonderful.

Much like many other restaurants in Austin, you have the option of sitting indoors or outdoors and limited parking. However, you are able to reserve a table and they offer valet parking if you don't want to go through the trouble of parking on the street or hedging your bets that the parking lot will have some openings.

For our food we ordered the Chili Crab Toast as an appetizer; the Confit Duck Foldies, Fried Fish, and the Taco Trio as our main courses; and the Choco-Monster as our dessert.

My favorite? The Confit Duck Foldies. And as for the dessert, it is aptly named. With three of us there it was impossible to finish because it was so rich and because we were so full from everything else.

Final Thoughts:
It is worth the visit but be willing to spend some money to get the full experience. Also, their menu sections have cute titles that deserve some attention.
