Summer Bucket List RECAP

by - October 10, 2019

We're recounting the items we were able to cross off our Summer Bucket List!

Food + Drink
  1. Wonder Bar ✓

  2. Deep Eddy Vodka Tasting Room
  3. Infamous Brewing Company
  4. Lenoir Wine Garden
  5. Ciclo Happy Hour
  6. Moontower saloon
  7. Bar Peached on West 6th ✓ - we even wrote a post about it here!
We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our evening at Bar Peached! The food was delicious and unique, the service friendly and helpful, and we were able to get a few cute photos. A new favorite for sure!
  8. Stand in line for Franklin's BBQ - it's just too hot here in Austin!! 🔥
  9. Squeeze into the Tiniest Bar in Texas ✓

  10. Eat at Hut's Hamburgers before it closes forever ✓
While we may have forgotten the all important picture at Hut's, we do at least have our Dad to vouch for us!
  11. Cosmic Coffee and Beer Garden ✓ - we even wrote a post about it here!

Entertainment

  1. Catch a comedy skit at Esther's Follies
  2. Enjoy the view and the sunshine from Azul Rooftop Pool Bar + Lounge
  3. Watch a movie under the stars at Blue Starlite Drive-in or Sekrit Theatre.  -We tried. We really did. But the Blue Starlite showtimes that worked for us had features we weren't too keen to see. It probably would've been worth it for the experience, which is why we've moved this bucket list item to our Fall plans.
  4. Congress bridge bats ✓
En route to the bats as part of a wedding photoshoot, Morgan also stopped off at the cute Dolce Bacio gelato cart parked on 2nd and Congress!
Healthy(ish) Activities
  1. Trapeze Class.
  2. SUP Yoga at Town Lake (AKA Lady Bird Lake for those of you from out of town) - When it became too dangerous to take the dogs in the water because of the toxic algae bloom, we crossed this one off the list for everyone's health and safety.
  3. Salsa Dancing at The Oasis at Lake Travis on Sunday night. ✓
Arts & Smarts
  1. Attend a Star Party on the UT Campus
  2. See tropical fish galore at the Austin Aqua-Dome
  3. Tour the Elisabet Ney Museum
  4. Visit the Cathedral of Junk - Whoops! This is in someone's backyard and we were supposed to set an appointment to see it.
